About Greta
Greta in her own garden in Corona del Mar, California
Little Seaside was born during the height of the pandemic when I started sharing stories from my very own garden - a space I transformed for dry patch of grass into a verdant oasis, complete with a native meadow grasses and raised garden beds overflowing with fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers. I met followers from around the world, and also those nearby who asked for my help transforming their very own exterior spaces. After many years in the software world working on complex programs, designing gardens for others became an exciting new outlet. My background in technical product design, in fact, lends itself synergistically when it comes to navigating CAD and creating and understanding complex site surveys. Carefully orchestrating how plants work together - balancing height, colors, structure, and movement - has always come naturally to me though. Green thumbs, in fact, run thick in my blood: both my maternal (Bernie) and paternal (Leona) grandmothers were Master Gardeners. Visiting their homes as a child was always a feast for the senses, and instilled a lifelong love of gardens within me.
I now specialize in full-service exterior design - gardens, landscapes, and culinary gardens. My design philosophy is that your garden should be an extension of your home and should add whimsical beauty through height, structure, color, and movement. As a culinary garden designer, I specialize in regenerative practices and creating planting plans that are bespoke to your family, the food you like to cook, your home’s individual style, and your natural environment.
I love connecting with gardeners around the world, even if you don’t have a space to work on, please do not hesitate to reach out via Instagram or via email - greta@littleseasidegardens.com
Cheers!
